Addison Berry |
Addi (add1sun) has been involved with Drupal since 2006 and is the current Documentation Team Lead for the project. In March 2009 she was awarded a Knight Foundation grant to improve Drupal documentation. She travels around the world, speaking at events from local high schools to major conferences like OSCON, working to improve Drupal and Open Source software. She is also involved with organizing the Writing Open Source conference to get open source projects together to share ideas about how to improve documentation. In addition to her focus on coordinating documentation efforts she helps maintain Drupal.org and is a permanent member of the Drupal Association General Assembly. She's provided core patches, maintains several contributed modules, and has been involved with the Drupal Dojo and the Google Highly Open Participation (GHOP) mentoring programs. Addi currently lives in Maryland with her partner, Colleen, and four contrary cats. When not obsessively working on Drupal in one way or another, she loves to get dirty in the garden or spend time cooking up a batch of homebrewed beer. |
Todd Ross Nienkerk |
Four Kitchens co-founder Todd Ross Nienkerk has been involved in the web design and publishing industries since 1996. Since that time, he has designed and built countless websites and written for, edited, and managed several online and print publications. Although Todd’s interests focus primarily on graphic design, his strong background in development and site architecture allows him to contribute to virtually any creative or technical task. Todd is a member of both the Drupal Documentation Team and the Drupal.org Redesign Team. He is currently helping to spearhead the effort to redesign Drupal.org and communicate a fresher, more effective Drupal brand. Four Kitchens is a design and development firm located in Austin, Texas, that works exclusively with Drupal and other open-source web software. Unlike many firms, ours is a one-stop shop for large-scale web projects. Branding, design, information and systems architecture, usability, development, and project management are all handled in-house by our team of talented web chefs. Four Kitchens' reputation in the Drupal community – particularly as a leading authority on Drupal scalability, performance, and theming – has earned us invitations to speak at numerous DrupalCamps and to participate in code and theming sprints held around the world. |
Vesa Palmu |
Serial entrepreneur Vesa Palmu has been working as designer and technical project manager on web projects since 1995. Vesa has founded and co-founded a number of different web related companies, biggest of which has been Satama Interactive. Satama was one of leading European web agencies employing over 400 people and used to be publicly traded in Helsinki Stock Exchange. Satama was merged to Trainers' House in 2008 and the name is no longer used. Currently Vesa runs his own consulting business Moana, is an active member of Drupal community and is working hard to get few new startup companies up and running. Vesa has experience with Drupal since 4.6 and has been working in many different Drupal 5 and 6 projects over last two years. Latest Drupal projects Vesa has been involved in range from intranets to online communities, customer service applications to CRM integrations, and data migrations to automated site deployments. Moana specializes in Drupal design and training working usually in virtual teams that have experts from many different organizations. |
Juho Gebhard |
Juho is a site builder at Brain Alliance Oy. He has been involved in various Drupal projects during the last 12 months, focusing mainly on theming related tasks. |
Joonas Kiminki | Joonas works as a development manager for the only professionally run online-only newspaper in Finland, Uusi Suomi. Drupal has been the publishing platform for Uusi Suomi since it's rebirth (the newspaper was published on paper in 1847-1991) in October 2007. Uusi Suomi is very pleased with the result of the semi-scientific decision making process two years ago - which resulted in selecting Drupal as the site's technical base. The session being held at Drupalcamp will be a mix of a case study and going through our simple and straightforward publishing workflows. |
Kristjan Jansen | Kristjan Jansen has been in Drupal landscape from 2001, witnessing the Drupal growth from embryonic version 1.0 up to the present day - all this time trying to improve Drupal's ease to use. Coming from traditional media, newspaper design, he is a passionate user experience expert. Has worked in several companies, most notably four years in Skype as a senior interaction designer, he is now a freelancer consultant and a web activist. Kalle is a consultant and the back-end team lead at Exove, a technology company specialized in designing and implementing integrated web solutions. Kalle has been using Drupal since version 4 and developed on it from version 5. Kalle has 8 years of experience of different content management systems; he’s been involved in building of couple of custom ones. He mainly focuses on architectures, performance and complex integrations. |
Seppo Jaakola - founder and partner |
Seppo has 10 years R&D experience in Stonesoft, implementing firewall clustering, RDBMS development and network management systems among other assignments. He has also worked 4 years in Continuent and has contributed in development of three different DBMS clustering products. After Continuent, Seppo and fellows founded Codership to offer software development and consulting services. Codership is specialized in DBMS engineering and distributed computing systems and developes products for database replication, clustering and load balancing fields. |

Teemu has has developed web applications using various technologies and frameworks since 1999. During the last year Teemu has crafted number of Drupal modules and is now contributing to the Drupal community. |
Mikko Ristimäki - Development Director, Suomi24 Oy |
Mikko has over 10 years of experience in online and mobile businesses. He has been designing and implementing custom built publishing and content management systems in several companies like Webzone, Satama Interactive and Ramblas Digital. Currently Mikko leads the Development and Technology team at Suomi24. They have just built the core of the biggest Finnish online community site on top of Drupal. |
